I heart cupcakes!

Since it’s my birthday, I’d like to take a moment to honor this little confection. Please allow me to indulge myself while I share with you my favorite cupcake doodles and places  in New York.

I have done many a doodles in pastry shops. “Cup Cake Cafe” is a cute little place tucked into the creepy back side of Port Authority on 40th and 9th. It’s conveniently near my place of work, I’ve doodled here on many a visits with one of my best good friends. She and I meet here rather frequently to avoid the paparazzi.

This one reminds me of the talented fashion illustrator Katie Rodgers of “Paper Fashion” who is also a big fan of cupcakes.

My ABSOLUTE favorite place is “Sugar Sweet Sunshine” located in the east village on Rivington. Take your pick but my favorite is “Sassy Red Velvet” . I’ve figured out a decent knock-off recipe but nothing beats the real thing!

Pumpkin is a close second as is Pistachio a third ;) Hell I’ll take a bucket of rice pudding as well. And a latte, yes that is all, thank you!

I just love it when you go to an event and someone is this clever! I will totally doodle for cupcakes! These aren’t just ANY cupcake either, they are Mr. Cupcake!

So I say, “Let Them Eat (Cup) Cake”!!
