Sketching Game of Thrones: True Romance

I’m not a big TV person, but when I latch onto a great show I get oh, so excited. The last time I was this stoked was “Who wants to Marry a Millionaire” but things have changed since then, and I guess I crave something a little more epic.

Enter my new fascination: “Game of Thrones” I mean, just the opening credits gets me all crazy like watching that “da na na nanana nana” intro thing on HBO in the 80’s. You know what I’m talking aboot!

Besides the epic stop motion looking CG animated intro to the wonderful world of thronage. It’s got an enticing story and convoluted character development.

My favorite characters so far, are Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen. Why, you ask? Well I didn’t like either of them at first, but like I said, “convoluted”; they grew on me. They got a groovy kind of love.  Two wicked cool badasses with their own agenda and yet a strange twinge of compassion under the right circumstances, but don’t cross em’ cuz you’ll only do it once. SWOON!

So I decided to sketch up my favorite scene from season one. You know, the one where Dany is eating a horse heart to earn her place in the kingdom and next to her king. Yeah, That’s one girl who knows exactly what and who she wants.

Plus, she’s a REAL dragon.
