NYC Summer Friday: Sketch the High Line
Summer is so short in New York City, it lasts all of a New York minute. Most Friday’s I’m out shopping stores for trends. This past Friday, being my Birthday Friday, I decided to take a little time for myself. It was such a gorgeous day, a friend and I went up to the High Line for a little walking in the sun and some sketching.
I just love the architecture and color pallets you can see from up there. A blend of the old and the new with a rustic trail of wild flowers and old train tracks.
We found a shaded patch of grass near one of my favorite buildings.
Sketching helps me take in a place and celebrate the moment.
We both got a little work done and some summer play.
