Gothic Lolita for grown-ups!
Gothic Lolita is a super trendy culture with varying degrees of street cred all over the world. In fact, right now at the Fashion Institute of Technology , just such an exhibit is on display in the museum. It is only fitting that Nickki would come up with an “all grown-up” version for the rest of us non “cosplayers” .
Over top a flirty, frothy skirt
Nickki starts with a frothy tulle dress underneath a frilly lace black skirt. The contrasting layers of ruffles show off those pretty legs of hers. Be sure to keep the skirt short and sweet, anything below the knee will just make you look like a Peter-Joel Witken cadaver.
Singin in the rain
Keeping it lively with stacked heal booties and black lace stockings, Nickki gives this look a sweet little naughty girl-ness. Ditch the Marry Janes and go for a tough boot otherwise you’ll lose a few years of respect from your own generation of peers.
All Grown Up and Everywhere to Go
The first frothy layer being a tulle dress, Nickki pulls up the collar to give the Garrott tee a little lacy trim at the neck. Perfectly seductive but not to Victorian -Goth to scare away the “day walkers”.
A big black cocktail ring and sweet pearl bracelet keeps it sophisticated and pretty.
Not so innocent
Top it all off with a high impact, graphic art tee shirt like the “Without My Muse” and you’ve got one seriously flirty look for us 30-something cool kids! So get yourself one here and show us how you style it.
