This winter is probably the snowiest and coldest I’ve seen since moving to NYC nine years ago. That’s not to say it’s at all similar to anything I endured growing up in Wisconsin, though going to school in Savannah, Ga had softened my resolve to endure much more than this. As such, I have been schlepping through the ice, snow and cold to settle into some life drawing as my main weekly amusement at the Society of Illustrators. These past few weeks seemed to reflect what is and what will be as we wish for the signs of spring to take hold and warm our (drawing) hands…
This gorgeous model gave all I wanted with the feminine mystique that spring will bring. I loved drawing every bit of her character and beauty.
