New Year Fashion Drawing Session: Audrey Hepburn
Well happy new year everyone!
I can’t think of a better way to ring in the new year than at the Society of Illustrators with “Would You Rock This” and drawing Audrey Hepburn as muse. After all the parties and gatherings this speak easy setting and 3 inspiring models helped to settle into 2013 with grace and style.
The costumes and models were stunning to say the least, including a vintage pair of “Wayfarer” sunglasses made famous by Audrey herself.
This event was organized by Brandon Graham, founder of “Would You Rock This” and curator of the Fashion’s Night Out 2012 opening exhibition of “Fashion Illustration: A Contemporary Look” . His relentless efforts have truly revived an interest and exposure to fashion illustration.
It was an invigorating evening, starting with 2 minute gestures to warm up with the first glass of wine.

I had forgotten my pencil pointer and was forced to use my Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils. What a happy mistake :) They draw as soft as any pencil but you can zap em with a brush, or do what I did, and simply spray at the drawing with a bottle of water and let it do it’s thing.
